Tier List Guide

How This Tier List Works

This 0.5 Update tier list breaks down characters by what they actually do best in the game. Here is how to read it:

  • Meta Team: The absolute best characters in the current update. If you have them, use them.
  • Meta DPS: Your main damage dealers. These are the heavy hitters you build your team around to carry you through tough stages.
  • Sub DPS: Back-up damage dealers. They help clean up extra enemies and support your main attackers.
  • Tank: High-health characters meant to sit in the front and soak up damage so your weaker units survive.
  • Support: Units that don't do much damage but give your team huge buffs, extra speed, or crowd control.
  • Farm: The money makers. Essential for generating cash and managing your economy during longer games.
  • Fasman Units: Special niche characters that have unique jobs or specific gimmick uses.

A perfect team always balances cash and damage. Always bring at least one Farm unit to fund your economy, and back up your main Meta DPS with a good Support for those crucial late-game buffs.

Cube Strategy

Anime Squadron Cube Guide: The Golden Gameplay Route

01

Start with One Carry

Your first major spend must go into ONE main carry. Do not spread your gold or XP across 5 different units. Pick a top DPS like Gometa or Berserker and max them out. A single maxed carry clears waves and bosses far better than a team of half-built units.

02

Delay Luxury Rerolls

Save your rare materials. Perfect Cubes, Trait Shards, and Reroll Cubes are very hard to get. Do not waste them on mid-tier starter units. Keep them locked in your inventory until you find a permanent keeper unit that you will use forever.

03

Patch the Visible Wall

Only build support or tanks when you actually start losing. If you are stuck because the boss heals too fast, add boss damage. If ordinary enemies are slipping past your defense, add control or freeze units. Don't buy luxury support if your damage is still too low.

S

S TIER UNITS (The Top Meta Picks)

S TierMedium Confidence (8 Cross-checked sources)

Gometa (SSJ4)

Aliases: Gogeta, Gometa, SSJ4 Gogeta

Best For: Main Carry / Boss Damage

When to Invest: Put your gold and XP here when the evolution route is realistic for your account. This unit will become your main carry or boss-damage anchor for the entire endgame.
Caution: Do not dump all your rare cubes and traits into this long evolution path if your account still lacks a basic, stable carry to farm gold with.
S TierMedium Confidence (3 Cross-checked sources)

Berserker (Enraged)

Aliases: Berserker, Berserk, Berserker Enraged

Best For: Main Carry / Boss Damage

When to Invest: Invest the second you pull him from the banner. Run test stages to make sure he beats your current main carry or boss-killer slot.
Caution: Double check your banner access and real live upgrade costs before you start moving your rarest Perfect Cubes, gear, or expensive traits.
S TierMedium Confidence (7 Cross-checked sources)

Madora (Gunbai)

Aliases: Madara, Madora, Madara Gunbai

Best For: Boss Damage / Main Carry

When to Invest: Invest when your team gets completely blocked by giant boss health bars or super tanky late-wave enemies. His burn and burst damage are perfect for boss melting.
Caution: Do not make Madora your very first big purchase if ordinary waves are still leaking and killing you before the boss even spawns.
S TierMedium Confidence (7 Cross-checked sources)

Woo (Shadow)

Aliases: Woo, Sung Jin-Woo, Shadow

Best For: Main Carry / Boss Damage

When to Invest: Invest after you are 100% sure your account has enough resources to field, upgrade, and support him in high-end modes. He scales crazy high.
Caution: Do not look at maxed-out YouTube showcase videos and expect the same results if your account cannot copy the exact same endgame setup.
S TierMedium Confidence (7 Cross-checked sources)

Puppeteer (Transcendent)

Aliases: Puppeteer, Puppeteer Transcendent

Best For: Main Carry / Control

When to Invest: Invest when you need a top-tier premium unit that does high durable damage but also brings crowd control and aggro utility to harder stages.
Caution: Do not treat this unit like a basic farm support slot. Build your whole squad setup around the actual defensive role he fills.
A

A TIER UNITS (Excellent Specialists)

A TierMedium Confidence (2 Cross-checked sources)

Falcon (Dark)

Aliases: Falcon, Falcon Dark, Dark Falcon

Best For: Support / Economy / Boss Damage

When to Invest: Use him when you need extra Yen economy, execute-style damage, or debuff resistance to speed up your general farming runs.
Caution: If your account does not have a real main damage dealer yet, Falcon should not receive your very first batch of rare reroll cubes.
A TierMedium Confidence (2 Cross-checked sources)

Skeleton Knight (Resonance)

Aliases: Skeleton Knight, Resonance

Best For: Support / Control

When to Invest: Invest when your squad already has tons of damage but you keep losing because your lane lacks stability, control, or survivability in hard modes.
Caution: Do not rank this unit above pure damage carries if the real problem with your setup is low DPS.
A TierMedium Confidence (7 Cross-checked sources)

Shanron (Omega)

Aliases: Shanron, Shenron, Omega

Best For: Boss Damage / Support / Control

When to Invest: Invest after your account is rich enough to handle his high deployment cost, and when your late-game or boss-killing strategy needs extra overlap utility.
Caution: Do not let this unit slow down your basic progression if you are still struggling to clear early waves.
A TierMedium Confidence (7 Cross-checked sources)

Shinks (Emperor)

Aliases: Shinks, Shanks, Emperor

Best For: Support / Control

When to Invest: Build him when your main damage carry is already strong and your team needs massive scaling buffs or control utility to push deeper into hard modes.
Caution: Never build Shinks under the assumption that he can replace your primary damage-dealing carry.
B

B & UTILITY TIER UNITS (Progression & Economy)

B TierMedium Confidence (2 Cross-checked sources)

Caska (Resilience)

Aliases: Caska, Casca, Resilience

Best For: Main Carry / Control

When to Invest: Invest lightly when you need help with early or mid-game story progression and you haven't pulled a mythic or secret carry yet.
Caution: Do not spend rare rerolls or perfect cubes on her unless future patch data confirms she has long-term endgame value.
B TierMedium Confidence (7 Cross-checked sources)

Fastwagon

Aliases: Speedwagon, Fastwagon

Best For: Economy (Money Unit)

When to Invest: Dump resources here when extra money acceleration helps you drop your giant carries and expensive support units way earlier in your daily farm runs.
Caution: Cut back on building him if enemies are leaking past your lines. Money is great, but raw damage is what actually stops you from losing.
